Palma de Mallorca (PMI) Airport or Aeropuerto de Palma de Mallorca is a major airport located approximately 8 km east to Palma city.
It is the third largest airport in Spain and one of the busiest airports in Europe during the summer months. The city airport is served by lots of airline companies from many European countries. It is the main hub for German carrier Air Berlin. Palma de Mallorca airport has four terminals of which terminal A is used for domestic flights and terminal B, C, D is used for international flights. The airport serves around 25 million passengers per year. The airport is well connected with Palma and other major towns and resorts on the island by buses and metered cabs. Palma de Mallorca city goes back to the Ancient World when it was founded by Romans as a military base.
